Feature Request - Theme & Extension repository
Reported by dleffler | August 13th, 2011 @ 07:34 PM | in 2.0.5 (closed)
It would be a good idea to have something in place by the stable release...a download page on the exponentcms.org site with extensions (themes, modules, etc...) And in turn, only ship 2.0 stable with one standard theme.
This would:
- keep us from possibly stomping on too many user mods since we only ship one theme with each upgraded version
- push people to the site to be reminded of updates, etc...
- allow quicker easier updates to the system without requiring a full upgraded version
What this also means, is we would have to update the extension upload(er) to ONLY place extensions in the current theme folder (which would also safeguard a stable system environment). E.g., mods to the installation would always/only/? be found in the themes folder.
