Form Module Report Enhancments

Reported by theohiobloke | May 16th, 2011 @ 03:53 PM | in Release Candidate 1 (closed)

It would be really good if the form module could be used to design simple forms that allows you to define fields to collect data. You should then be able display simple reports etc as part of your site.

An example would be a company directory with FirstName LastName, Email Address, Phone and URL fields that could be viewed as a table with alternating row colors and each record edited by a logged in admin user.

I am not saying I want the company directory created but the ability to create such a database in the form module.

    • Tag set to form module
    • Title changed from “Form Module Enhancments” to “Form Module Report Enhancments”
    • Assigned user cleared.

Emphasis seems to be on a template to view data instead of enter data as the default template does.

    • Assigned user set to “dleffler”

Since the proper table formatting has been added to the data view, next step is to convert/copy the data view template into a usable display template

(from [5198bae5fc5017665c0f04ee4dfdc9aa685dfd0e]) Adds a new selectable "Data" view to the form module, which initially displays the form table of entries. This code update activates the "parameter" passing of the chain plugin and the "exponent_theme_showAction" function in the theme subsystem, but ONLY applies to old school modules. Actually this is a kludge, but since this module will eventually go away.
