Forgotten Password Funtion Not Working

It looks like the forgotten password function isn't working. Someone just tried to use it, I have tried and indeed no email arrives. It is possible it has never worked!? I see there is a login manager module that has never been activated, is that function in there? If I turn it on will anything change?
Your lighthouse2 login should still work.
BTW my upload quota has not been reset so I still can't upload screenshots for you.
