Can't get logged into site

Reported by BJ Kline | June 22nd, 2015 @ 01:35 PM

I setup a new site for a client Friday night, and updated it to 2.3.4 patch 1. All was working when I finished, today when I attempt to login, I keep getting redirected to the home page, but don't get any kind of error message. This site also hosts a message forum in a subfolder called forums. The forum is run using ip.Board. My Exponent site is in the site's root folder. I'm wondering if there is a conflict between the two especially with htaccess?

    • Assigned user changed from “expNinja” to “dleffler”

I did find a problem with htaccess, I got the forum working but the Exponnet site still won't let me log in.

The forum runs from a subfolder of the root, in a folder named forums. The exponent files are in the root folder. I added an .htaccess file to the forums folder as recommended by ip.board. I then re-uploaded the .htaccess file that ships with Exponent to the root folder, this allowed the Exponent pages to be served but didn't allow me to login.

This ticket can be closed. The issue was with the php.ini file. My hosting provider was able to fix it on their end and now all is well again.
