File Crashes DreamWeaver 8
Reported by peters@slx-online.biz | October 9th, 2014 @ 02:57 PM
Here's an interesting one. I just downloaded a full copy of the site after the recent update. When I loaded DreamWeaver 8 to update some CSS, it crashed. After a long process of elimination, deleting the DW configuration folder and copying files back a bit at a time, I have found the guilty file:
external/editors/tinymce/plugins/codemirror/CodeMirror/theme/ambiance.css
Copy attached.
Whilst I don't necessarily need most of the Exponent files, I do like to keep a local copy just in case of a server crash. For now I have removed this file from the tree.
Very minor issue until the next time I do a backup!

If I understand correctly then, it was there in a previous version. When I followed the update procedure by overwriting the complete site, as this was already there it was not deleted? The update procedure doesn't remove these redundant files? If this is true, then I guess the only 'fix' would be to delete the complete site files first before copying the updated package?
I experienced this problem quite a while ago, may well have been that same file but I don't remember. I would have just deleted it from my local machine without thinking it would come back to bite me.
