Bug: not all displayed containers have unique 'id'

We use the $container->id to discriminate the element id in most of the container views, HOWEVER, many containers are built on the fly (hard-coded) and do NOT container a database table record id...therefore they all end up with an identical element (div) id of simply 'module' or 'mod_'. Perhaps we need to include code to set the 'id' to the 'source' if the 'id' is missing to discriminate against the other elements on the page?
