Feature request - Add a free-form menu item
Reported by dleffler | November 2nd, 2012 @ 03:55 PM | in 2.1.0 (closed)
Now that we have a dynamic iOS-friendly Mega Menu, it might be nice to allow for some of the wild stuff in other mega menus which is usually the result of hand coding them.
- initial thoughts would be to create another tab on the page edit views for Custom Display with a checkbox and a WYSIWYG text box to be displayed in place of the page name
- and/or add a new page type of 'free-form' which is NOT really a page, but a WYSIWYG item for display...fwiw, we already use some non-page types of pages/menu items in the form of external or internal link pages.

(from [6f6022630fcdb4d8fd27a9255d9c2c9772477d82]) Initial implementation of a free-form menu item, currently only functional on the Mega menu/Navigation view...adds a new 'Free-form' page/menu type which embeds a container as a menu item which may hold any number/type of modules; also adds a new showmodule smarty function to display module actions/views just as if they were hardcoded [#788] https://github.com/exponentcms/exponent-cms/commit/6f6022630fcdb4d8...
