Bug: some widgets (photoalbum slideshow) don't work within tabbed container

In some scenarios, placing an object inside of a 'tab' may not provided the desired effects. E.g., a photoalbum slideshow (using owl carousel) within a bootstrap3 tab will not seem to auto-advance and the 'chrome' dropdown will appear elsewhere on the screen.
