Cannot sort Menu

Hi there, running Exponent CMS 2.6.0 patch3 on apache 2.4.38, php 7.3 and MariaDB 10.3.
I have a Menu Hierarchy with Home and under that years;
- Home
- 2020
- 2022
- 2021
- 2019
- 2018
- 2017
- 2016
and so on. I would like to sort it so that 2022 is highest up on the list. When I drag 2022 on top of Home it looks like it is in the right place but every time a reload or opening of the webpage in another window the 2020 stays on top and the order stays the same.
Please help.
