Minimum Order amount not being saved

When you enter a value in E-commerce -> Store Setup -> General Store Settings -> Cart -> Minimum order amount to require it is not being saved. This is because it's being written to the database as $0.00 instead of 0.00, the dollar sign shouldn't be saved.
