Bug: eCommerce is broken in 2.2.0 branch

ecommerce has likely be broken in the unstable branch since we branched off. Primarily because we didn't have a global $order object unless we specifically had the ecommerce store module active.
Since getting event registration working in the 2.1.x branch, we reverted to that code which is working locally. Once the 2.2.x required changes are fully re-inserted, it'll be added to the feature/container2 branch
