Exponent CMS: 2.2.0alpha2
The next major release and the first version of Exponent w/o any 1.0 modules, etc..., primarily will implement Container 2.0 and Twitter-Bootstrap
- Container 2.0 is a full MVC module but changes how we store location references in the database to the 2.0 short/base name (text) method instead of the long/class name (textController)
- Twitter-Bootstrap, along w/ jQuery seems to be more readily implmented and maintained and will become the primary libraries used. YUI2/YUI3 backwards compatibility WILL be maintained. New default theme will be Twitter-Bootstrap based.
Make e-Commerce a better OOTB experience. This version (if released) will NOT implement Container 2.0 which is reserved for the 2.2.0 release. Some specific e-Commerce goals:
- Online Donations using PayPal Express. Goal is to provide an income source to the site owner or a specific cause, etc...
- No-Cost Online Event Registration for one or more seats by name. Goal is to manage event rosters and provide an electronic 'ticket/receipt'. There already seems to be some boilerplate code for editing, emailing, etc... those registered.
- For-Cost Event Registration using PayPal Express
